Missions that Concord supports and/or is involved with:

One of Concord's strengths is its heavy participation in a number of mission causes. Not only do we support many missions financially, but more significantly, a majority of our congregation actively engages in hands-on mission work.

      THE LADLE
Housed in the United Presbyterian Church of Ambridge, the Ladle serves a meal every Monday evening to anyone in Ambridge who needs a good meal, and who may also need some canned goods, clothing, or other items. Our cooks cook a delicious dinner, it is then transported to the Ladle, and then served by members of our congregation. We serve at the Ladle about 6 times a year.

      HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Concord was one of the founding partner churches when Habitat for Humanity in Beaver County was established in 1992, and has continued to support this mission financially as well as by sending work teams 4-6 times a year.

      UNCOMMON GROUNDS CAFÉ
A ministry in Aliquippa, the café offers a safe place for people in Aliquippa to get something to eat or drink, to sit and talk, and to receive the benefits of related ministries of drug and alcohol rehabilitation, prison ministry, and lifting up a depressed community. Several of our members volunteer regularly as cooks and also in the ministry to those incarcerated in the Beaver County Jail.

      SEWING GROUP
Our ladies sew blankets and quilts to give to children who face traumatic situations like life-threatening illness, family tragedy, separation from parents who are in the military or in prison. Over the years, over 1,900 blankets have been made and given away.

      MISSION TEAMS
Concord has sent mission teams made up of adults and young people to places like Mexico, Guatemala, the Gulf Coast, North Carolina, Michigan, South Dakota, and West Virginia. Our local mission involvement is complemented by our commitment to mission in other communities.

      OTHER
Our members also regularly donate items to need people in Beaver County through the ministry of C.A.S.T. We also actively support Young Life volunteers who minister in our junior and senior high school with care packages and other expressions of support. We have made trips to help serve at the Light of Life on Pittsburgh's Northside. We help the ministry of Christians United of Beaver County by providing worship services to the residents of Friendship Ridge.

      FINANCIAL SUPPORT
In addition to our personal involvement in missions, we also support missions with our dollars. Our 2009 Mission Budget of $20,000 includes:
